The Tiger Talent Program
The Tiger Talent Program (TTP) is a selective AFL program run by head coach Jesse Aish from the Aish Football Academy, and is designed to give advanced players from the club’s U10, U11 and U12 age-groups the opportunity to train together to fast-track and enhance their Australian football skills. Sessions are run on a Monday evening from late March and participants are coach-selected.
Moore Park Tigers currently has a number of Swans Academy players spread across our girls and boys age groups. For those aspiring to try out for the Swans Academy, the TTP provides an excellent introduction to the types of drills you can expect at the Swan Academy trials. Trials for the Swans Academy are typically held in August-September, for entry into the Academy the following year.
The Aish Football Academy
The Aish Football Academy operates in both Adelaide and Sydney, to develop players of all different skill levels and support them to be the best players and people they can be.
The Sydney arm of the Academy is led by Jesse Aish, a former South Australian National Football League (SANFL) player with the Norwood Football Club, and is supported by Adelaide Head Coach and AFL Hall of Famer, father Michael Aish.
The Aish Academy works with clubs around the Sydney Harbour and also hosts training camps during the school holidays. Players are grouped with others at a higher skill level to challenge them in different ways and in turn fast tracks their development. Players who are new to the game and may need technical help with their skills are coached to eliminate bad habits and teach them the correct techniques at a young age.
Every player involved in the Aish Academy is heavily invested in and given individual feedback to help them fast track their improvement.
We are proud to see some of the athletes who have spent time with the Aish Academy in Sydney see recent success, with Caiden Cleary drafted to the Sydney Swans and Dom Carruthers to the Western Bulldogs in the AFLW. Both these players spent time in skills training with Jesse before being picked up in the AFL system.
